In one case, the jury awarded $14.5 million to the widow of a man who died from mesothelioma at the age of 54. In the second case, the jury awarded $3.5 million to the representative of a man who died from mesothelioma at the age of 62. In the third case, the jury awarded $12 million to the representative of a man who died from mesothelioma at the age of 64.

According to the Environmental Working Group, a non-profit organization that researches health issues, internal corporate documents such as the one quoted above conclusively prove that many companies in the asbestos industry knew and hid the lethal dangers of asbestos from employees and consumers for decades.
